If you’re passionate about helping children, especially those with autism, becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) could be a life-changing career path. In Utah, there is a growing demand for compassionate, trained RBTs to support families through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.

At Bridgeway Integrated Healthcare Services (formerly Utah Behavior Services), we provide ABA, mental health, and primary care services under one roof, making us a top employer for aspiring RBTs in Taylorsville, St. George, Cedar City, and beyond.

What is an RBT?

An RBT is a paraprofessional certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) who practices under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Let’s walk through the process from start to finish.

1. Meet the Basic Requirements

Before applying, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a criminal background check

If you’re in or near Salt Lake City, Taylorsville, or Roy, we recommend checking with local clinics or providers (like us!) about on-site support and prep programs.

This is a mandatory training that covers key topics like:

  • Behavior reduction strategies

  • Ethics and professional conduct
  • Measurement and data collection
