If you’re passionate about helping children, especially those with autism, becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) could be a life-changing career path. In Utah, there is a growing demand for compassionate, trained RBTs to support families through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
At Bridgeway Integrated Healthcare Services (formerly Utah Behavior Services), we provide ABA, mental health, and primary care services under one roof, making us a top employer for aspiring RBTs in Taylorsville, St. George, Cedar City, and beyond.
Whether you’re a parent looking to understand the process, a college student, or someone seeking a new career, this guide explains everything you need to know.
What is an RBT?
An RBT is a paraprofessional certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) who practices under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs play a vital role in delivering direct behavior-analytic services, particularly for children with autism and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities of an RBT
Responsibility | Description |
Data Collection | Monitor and record behavior and progress |
Skill Implementation | Follow treatment plans created by BCBAs |
Client Interaction | Engage with children in therapy sessions |
Family Support | Provide updates and encourage consistency at home |
Good To Know
